This book is so bad it's amazing! At first I was going to demand my money back, but then decided to keep it for the entertainment value. Their helpful definitions of key concepts range from clueless to shocking. Eg to help the reader understand pupillary constriction and dilation they offer the following definition of 'constriction': "a method used by various snake species to kill their prey." Every page has at least one of these. On the topic of visual face recognition, they helpfully define 'facial' in a way that Amazon will surely not allow me to include in this review - they describe a certain way of ending a sex act in pornographic movies!

I lost this issue at the original release date (I started to buy the Spectrum series from issue 7). What I noticed, buying the latest printings of number 1,2, 3 and now 4 is that, except the digital techniques (now more advanced than in the past), the quality of the works collected is always the same. Excellent.

No, here are works that will quicken your breath, accelerate your heartbeat, and ignite the synapses in your mind. And as my fellow reviewer commented, this book is a wellspring of inspiration. Had us hooked from the first chapter!

I'm a Middle School Special Education Teacher. I read this book to my class (ages ranging from 11 - 14). ALL of my students loved it! I have never found a book that kept them so engaged in the story. They begged me to read it (even when it wasn't Reading class) and were disappointed when we finished. We have begun collecting this series of books in classroom sets. The minute we finish reading one - we begin another. We have completed reading 4 of the Help! I'm Trapped... series & our fifth just arrived yesterday. We are ordering our sixth next week. The students are worried we won't have time to finish them all before school is out. Most students buy their own books so they can keep them and re-read them when we finish.

Help! I'm Trapped In My Teachers Body

This is a intersting book because it is about A kid named Jake Sherman and a the dorkiest teacher in the whole school Mr. Dirksen. Jake the kid always gets introble by his teacher Mr. Dirksen because he always meses around in class. He never dose his work and he never lesins to the teacher. One day something happens that all changes. Mr.Dirksen changes into Jake an Jake changes into Mr.Dirksen. At first Jake dosn't want to be Mr. Dirksen, but after a couple of days he likes it because he could do things that a kid can't do. Mr.Dirksen likes to be Jake because he never had a childhood and now that he has a chance to be a kid he is not going to waist it by not doing nothing. Jake would always let the students in class do booms and all the kids would look at him weard because Mr.Dirksen never let them have fun, but with Jake being the teacher all the kids would love it. The kids didn't know that Mr.Dirksen and Jake had switch bodys, but after some days Mr.Dirksen and Jake would have to switch because they don't want to be each other for the rest of their life's. So one day they had to go to the lab to mix some potiens and go back to normel. So Mr.Dirksen learnd how to a kid has a childhood and Jake learned that being an adult is a lot of hard work, but he got to do things like an adult that kids cannot do. This is a realy good fictional book to read for all ages.

This is the best book that I have read so far. I think that this book is very interesting as reading about Jake switching bodies with the very person that he dislikes, Mr. Dirksen, his science teacher amuses me. Also, this story is about a boy and a teacher who after switching bodies with each other understand how the other person feels.

I wonder how it would feel like if I was trapped in the body of someone that I do not like. After reading this book, I would think twice about making fun about someone just incase I switched bodies with him and suffer what everyone has been doing to him. I learned that everyone has feelings and we should treat them with the same amount of respect they treat us with too.

Overall, I feel that this book is suitable for people with good imaginations especially kids. If I could recommend this book to anyone, I would recommend it first to my classmates.

StarCraft War Stories: A Review

Ultimately, I found this collection of short stories, in conjunction with the added layer of plot as described by the various feeds from the scientists at Project Blackstone, to be quite riveting and fascinating. The various authors take all kinds of pains to make the reader as much a part of the action as the characters themselves and make the characters themselves if not likeable at least ones who can be related to on some level. Also, the authors take time to give certain characters whom otherwise would not have any such genuine plot dedicated to them, stand out if but for a moment and allows the reader to pierce the veil that surrounds these characters and give them their own unique personalities. The authors emphasize both the good and the bad and allow, in some instances, for the plot that was made in the StarCraft games to expand and give both players and fans alike a look into the magnificent world of StarCraft and for those who look forward to the next StarCraft expansion something that will whet their appetite as they await the next expansion.

An interesting series of short stories.

A great read. It is mostly a set of short stories of different people (Terran and Protoss) set in the period of around the Starcraft II games. All of them are well written and quite gripping.

I particularly liked how a number of the stories are connected to the interlude chapters, creatively written as a series of text communications between members of a black-ops research program.

The book's short stories are written by different people and so the quality varies. Most of the early stories interrelate and are well written but some of the later stories in the book are not that great. Still, I would recommend this to any Starcraft fan interested in Starcraft's lore or world!
